Through the years,
the society we live in has stereotyped exact kinds of people. Often those
who are different in some ways compared with others are labeled as rebels,
outsiders, or philistines. Although our world has evolved drastically in
many aspects, regrettably its people are
still rather conservative and small-minded. That is maybe the most pertinent
reason to become a rebel, fighting against patriarchal prejudices, distorted beliefs
and common misconceptions.
We are all rebels
to some extent. We rebel against the society, our parents, teachers or whoever
we disagree with. It is widely believed that rebels’ target is only to cause
unrest among the community and therefore they are subjected to strong
reprimand. But when it comes to the question whether there is a good cause for
being rebels, behaving out of line from time to time, I am of the opinion that,
in fact, each action is taken with a reason.
When it comes to
the teenage rebellion, no one would dispute the fact that it is a daily
occurrence in almost every home and I arguably deem it is not the right way to
reach a general consensus with our parents on a matter, but sad to say,
sometimes it is the only one. The most trivial forms of juvenile rebellion are
perpetual disobedience and myriad rows with family members over inconsequential
stuff, provoking intolerable tension between them.
Having said all this, I could deduce that nowadays
rebels are called these people, who assert their rights and who are not afraid
to alter the harsh reality beset with injustices.
