Let's start with the advantages. Veganism can decrease your ecological imprint as meat production is highly damaging to the environment. Also, many species could be protected since some endagered animals are being hunted for their skin, fur, and plumage.
Furthermore, we could not dismiss the health benefits going vegan can bring. With a more plant-based diet the chance of heart diseases or stroke is less likely. Moreover, this type of diet is beneficial to your digestive system.
However, there are some essential amino acids that could not be produced by our bodies, but are only found in some animal-based products. Vegan could experience a powerful sense of meat deprivation resulting in the need of supplements, so it may be quite expensive keeping up with this lifestyle. But if you want to keep a sound mind and a physically healthy and fit body you need them. What is more you need to be informed about the risks of following a vegan regimen. Don't ever force your children to become vegan. It could be quite dangerous for your toddler! Also, torturing your pets by feeding them only veggies is extreme.
To sum up, there are both pros and cons of going vegan, and it is only up to you to decide whether you are ready to pursue such a way of living. In my humble opinion, the safest option is to be a vegetarian.
