Some people prefer to spend time with one or two friends. Others choose to spend time with a large number of friends. Compare the advantages of each choice. Which of these two ways of spending time do you prefer?
It depends
on the person, and if they feel more comfortable spending time with a smaller or
larger circle of friends. Undoubtedly, both have their advantages and
disadvantages. Here are the main ones according to me.
To begin
with, not having a lot of friends gives you more time to spend bonding with the
ones you have. Such relationships are also more trusting, and you and your
friends become closer than you would be in a larger group. However, sometimes
they can be preoccupied and not have time to hang out with you. Thus, you may
feel lonely if you have not seen them in a while. But your bond will be
stronger, and you will be a safe harbor for one another.
On the
other hand, if you have a large group of friends and some of them are busy, you
can still ask the other people in your group to go out with you. Albeit, when you are in such a
relationship with your friends it is hard to become close and to really get to know
each other. Furthermore, drama would be a commonplace occurrence in your life because you
could not form a deeper relationship with one another and the formation of
intrigues would be more common.
I,
personally, have experienced both and
prefer to spend my time with one or two friends only because when you have the
freedom and time to get to comprehend
one another, you become somebody they can lean on and vice versa, your bond is
stronger and you can always trust them with your worries.
Moreover, they give better advice because you
can fully disclose your thoughts. The things I could not come in terms within
the larger group was the talking behind the other peoples’ backs and, as a
whole, the fact that the conversations were not as meaningful as the ones in
the smaller group.
